Penrith Speedway-Aerodrome
Penrith Speedway-Aerodrome was a racing and air sports venue located in Belmore Park, Penrith in Outer Western Sydney, New South Wales. Prior to the Penrith Speedway-Aerodrome in the mid-1920s, it served training and experimental flights of the Aerial League of Australia beginning in 1909. As a result, it is considered as the earliest airfield in Australia. At the time, the airfield held air pageants and aerial racing events while the speedway hosted motorcycle and car races.
