Gebel Zeit is an ancient mining area in Egypt located on the Red Sea coast, south of Ras Gharib. The mountain massif contains mineral resources. During the Egyptian Middle Kingdom and New Kingdom several expeditions went from Coptos to Gebel Zeit.
