João Monlevade is a Brazilian municipality located in the interior of the state of Minas Gerais, in the Southeast Region of Brazil. It is situated east of the state capital, Belo Horizonte, approximately 110 kilometers away. The municipality covers an area of 99.158 km2 (38.285 sq mi), of which 29.1 km2 (11.2 sq mi) is classified as urban area, with a population of 83,360 inhabitants in 2024.
