A live map layered with OpenWeather weather — toggle rain, clouds and pressure over streets/terrain, and flip the base map to Live traffic to read the roads under the same rain. Tiles load at world resolution; find your city on any continent, or zoom into Singapore, Mumbai or Lagos to watch the famous tropical afternoon rain cells form.

How to read it

The rain layer follows a colour scale: blue = light rain, yellow–red = heavy/thunderstorm. The small "speckled" pattern over inland Borneo in the late afternoon is local convection — storm clouds grow from heated ground rather than from a front; that is why tropical forecasts change fast and why our 45-minute cache value is deliberately short. The pressure layer shows isobars: closely spaced isobars mean strong wind.

Shared with the night sky

This map shows cloud right now — the stargazer’s enemy. If the cloud layer is empty over your location, check Tonight’s Sky for the moon phase and astronomical darkness before hauling out the telescope.
