The municipality was established on 15 December 2016 and consists of the former communes of La Chapelle-Hullin, Chazé-Henry, Combrée, Grugé-l'Hôpital, Noëllet, Pouancé, La Prévière, Saint-Michel-et-Chanveaux, Le Tremblay and Vergonnes.
