Mezber is a Pre-Aksumite archaeological site located in eastern Tigrai, Ethiopia. Radiocarbon dating suggests that Mezber was occupied for approximately 1600 years, spanning the Initial, Early, Middle, and Late Pre-Aksumite phases and capturing a transition from agro-pastoralism to a settled agriculturalism. The site was likely a rural agricultural village, with evidence for social stratification and elite households.
