The Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, also called the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong and colloquially known as the Maosoleum is the final resting place of Mao Zedong, who was the Founding Father of the People's Republic of China and chairman of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) until his death in 1976. Mao's embalmed body is publicly displayed inside.
