The Monument to Nicholas I consists of an equestrian bronze statue of Nicholas I of Russia, placed on an elaborate pedestal. It stands in front of Saint Isaac's Cathedral in St Isaac's Square in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It was designed by French architect Auguste de Montferrand and when unveiled on July 7 [O.S.
