Vizhinjam is an area located in the city of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of the state of Kerala in India. which belongs to Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. Vizhinjam is the 66th ward of the Trivandrum Corporation. It is located 16 km south west from the city centre and 17 km south of Trivandrum International Airport along NH66. Adani Ports (APSEZ), India’s biggest private port operator, is devoloping India's first deep water Transshipment Terminal owned by Vizhinjam International Seaport Limited Thiruvananthapuram in this area which was inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 2nd of May 2025. It is a state owned port, owned by the Government of Kerala and will be operated by the Adani Group for a period of 40 years.
