One of the most well known dishes in Thailand is pad kra pao gai (ผัดกะเพราไก่), a spicy stir fry containing basil and chicken. Most places, from small street food stalls to big restaurants, serve Pad Kra Pao Gai. One reason why the dish is famous is because the recipe does not require many ingredients. It is cheap and tasty, and it is quick and easy to cook. It is best served with hot jasmine rice and topped with a fried egg.
