🛣️ Višňové tunnel

The Višňové tunnel is an automobile tunnel located on the D1 motorway segment between the cities of Lietavská Lúčka and Dubná Skala in Slovakia. With the length of 7,500 m (24,600 ft), it is the longest tunnel on the motorway and third longest in the country after the planned tunnels of Karpaty and Hradište. Its purpose is to ease off automobile traffic on the I/18 in the Žilina Region.
