⭐ Csillagerőd

Csillagerőd, also known as Fort Csillag or the Star Fort, is a nineteenth-century star fort in Komárom, Hungary, on the southern bank of the Danube. It forms part of the extensive system of fortifications surrounding the historic twin cities of Komárom and present-day Komárno, Slovakia. The present fort was constructed principally between 1850 and 1871 as part of a major Habsburg military fortification programme.
