🏰 Baghaberd

Baghaberd a fortress in the Dzork province of the historical Syunik province of Greater Armenia. It was one of the impregnable fortresses of the Syunik province, which, starting from the 4th century, served as an important military stronghold, and during the period of the Kingdom of Syunik, it was the main link in the military-strategic defense system of the capital city of Kapan. The fortress is currently located in the territory of Andokavan village of the Syunik region.
