⚖️ ♎ Libra
Sep 23 – Oct 22 · Air · Cardinal · ruled by Venus
Read this as a fun page, not a forecast. Astrology is culture — thousands of years of sky-watching and pattern-making — not science: nothing on these pages claims the stars predict anything. What is factual here — the constellations, the myths, the calendar history and the precession that moved the signs off their own stars — is stated as fact.
The fair option and the easy option finally separate. You can see both clearly today, which is new.
Chosen by a fixed rule: the day number and the sign’s position pick one line from this page’s hand-written pool — the same line for every visitor all day, and no claim behind it beyond a bit of wordplay.

Temperament — as tradition describes it
Two thousand years of astrology literature consistently paints the libra temperament as diplomatic, balance-seeking, decision-weighted. That is what the tradition says, which is a fact about the tradition — not a finding about anyone born under it.
The constellation and the myth
The Scales are the zodiac’s only human-made object, once read as the claws of Scorpius before the Romans unbundled them. Astronomers still call its twins Zubenelgenubi and Zubeneschamali — “south claw” and “north claw” — and the autumnal equinox, the day of cosmic balance, historically rode through it.
Compatibility — the traditional pattern
Astrology’s old rulebook pairs Airs together: Libra is traditionally easiest with ♊ Gemini and ♒ Aquarius, and most magnetically opposed to ♈ Aries, six signs away across the wheel. None of it has ever survived a controlled test; as folklore about how the ancients ordered their sky, it is genuinely interesting.
