Read this as a fun page, not a forecast. Astrology is culture — thousands of years of sky-watching and pattern-making — not science: nothing on these pages claims the stars predict anything. What is factual here — the constellations, the myths, the calendar history and the precession that moved the signs off their own stars — is stated as fact.

Temperament — as tradition describes it

Two thousand years of astrology literature consistently paints the scorpio temperament as intense, all-or-nothing, transformer of things. That is what the tradition says, which is a fact about the tradition — not a finding about anyone born under it.

The constellation and the myth

The Scorpion slew Orion in Greek myth, and the two were set on opposite sides of the sky so they never meet — Orion sets as Scorpius rises. Its heart is Antares, a red supergiant whose name means “rival of Mars,” and beneath the tail the Milky Way deepens into Sagittarius’ star clouds.

Compatibility — the traditional pattern

Astrology’s old rulebook pairs Waters together: Scorpius is traditionally easiest with ♋ Cancer and ♓ Pisces, and most magnetically opposed to ♉ Taurus, six signs away across the wheel. None of it has ever survived a controlled test; as folklore about how the ancients ordered their sky, it is genuinely interesting.
