seconds ⇄ human · d·h·m·s breakdown · no fake months

Machines count seconds; humans say "two and a half days". This page converts a single span between s, min, h, d and wk, prints the natural breakdown, and deliberately stops at weeks: a month is 28–31 days and a year 365 or 366, so any "months" answer would be a guess about your calendar.

The three duration mistakes this avoids

First: "minutes" typed into a seconds field — the unit selector multiplies explicitly instead of guessing. Second: converting to months/years by dividing by 30 — this page stops at weeks and says why. Third: daylight saving. "48 hours from 23:00 the Saturday before clocks spring forward" is not 23:00 two days later on wall-clock time; a duration of 172,800 seconds is, and the two answers differ by an hour twice a year. Durations are physical; dates are politics.
