📅 Study Planner
ℹ️ What this tool does & how it works
Spacing is the cheapest grade-raiser in the research: the same hours, spread across doubling gaps (1, 2, 4, 8, 16 days), beat double the hours in one week. This planner takes the exam date, works out how many days of runway there are, and lays the sessions on the doubling schedule — first pass today, final recall the night before, nothing after the deadline.
What the research actually found
Distributed practice — the same material met across spread-out days — is among the most replicated effects in learning research, and it holds even when the total study time is cut. The doubling schedule is not a rule from one paper; it is the shape most spaced-repetition systems converge on, because memory decays roughly exponentially and gaps that double stay one step ahead of the curve. A planner cannot make anyone study; it only decides whether the hours they spend are worth double.
