⌨️ Typing Speed Test

Typed notes, typed essays, typed exams — the faster and cleaner your typing, the less the keyboard throttles what you know. This is the standard test in miniature: one sentence at a time, words marked green or red as you go, speed measured the honest way (five correct characters is a word, not five guesses).

Why speed is accuracy you stopped thinking about

Every keystroke you have to think about is a thought you cannot spend on the sentence you are writing. Research on writing keeps finding the same shape: once typing passes roughly fifteen to twenty words a minute, fluency starts improving noticeably, because the fingers stopped being the bottleneck. So the useful drill is not fast — it is clean: accuracy above ninety-five per cent first, and the speed arrives on its own.
